With the blink of an eye, here we are again. Wasn’t I just writing a similar blog post yesterday?! Where did that season go to? As I sit here looking out at the darkness after official winter time has come into play, it is hard to believe that we are again finished another fantastic year of showing off this country to those who travelled from near and far.
Walking has so many benefits, especially as we tend to spend more and more time sitting – be it at our desks, in traffic, or glued to screens. What better alternative to the office than to take an active holiday outdoors and enjoy the fresh clean air of the countryside, at your own pace, really seeing what’s all around you.
As the rustic colours of autumn begin to dwindle to the ground along with the arrival of the shorter days we set our mode to winter time!
The fires have started, the gathered turf is stored, the coal bucket is full to the brim but the walking boots are still at the door.
