The West Cork and Kerry Cycling Tour is a unique trip and has the contrast of having the first and last night in the lovely town of Killarney and for the rest of the week you enjoy the Beara Peninsula with its great rugged rock and seascapes – the most extensively panoramic route by the sea in Ireland. Day 1 – Arrival day and option of cycling around Killarney National Park
For those of you who arrive early you have the option of cycling through the National Park and places of interest around Killarney town.
Day 2 – Killarney to Kenmare
You leave Killarney town and travel through the Robber’s Den and Roughty
Valley passing through the little village of Kilgarvan enroute to Kenmare.
Overnight in the heritage town of Kenmare.
Day 3 – Kenmare to Castletownbere
Today’s cycle takes you from Kenmare along the Kenmare river through Lauragh and Ardgroom to the fishing town of Castletownbere where there are many archaeological sites. Overnight in Castletownbere.
Day 4 – Castletownbere – Allihies – Eyeries – Castletownbere
This cycle is a circular one, which takes you through the most beautiful part of the ring of Beara where you can stop at the little villages and take time to chat to the locals.

Day 5 – Castletownbere to Glengarriff
We leave the fishing town of Castletownbere to cycle along the coast to the beautiful village of Glengarriff. Here you have a chance to take a boat and visit Garnish Island, which is renowned for the richness of its plant life.

Day 6 – Glengarriff to Kenmare
Today you are heading back to Kenmare through the tunnel cut into the mountains, where you get fantastic views over the valleys. Enjoy the many traditional music sessions in Kenmare town.
Overnight in Kenmare.
Day 7 – Kenmare to Killarney
This is probably the most scenic day of your tour, you come through Molls Gap and down into Killarney passing Ladies View and Muckross.
